In just a few weeks White Salmon voters will receive ballots for the February 14 election. Two levies for White Salmon Valley Schools will be on the ballot: A replacement Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy and a Capital Levy.
The capital levy would support important maintenance for school buildings and 1:1 technology for students. Each student in our district is issued a Chromebook for their use during school and for homework. 1:1 technology enables teachers to use Chromebooks for lessons and activities that are more adaptive and give quicker feedback. These students are using their Chromebook to collect temperature changes of a chemical reaction over time. Throughout their school years students are taught safe use of Chromebooks and the internet, as well as presentation and word processing skills they need to be employable after high school.

Henkle/WPSIS Ski Club

Henkle is having spirit week December 12-16. See the graphic below for dress up days! The week will end with a spirit assembly!
Henkle Middle School Winter Wonderland Dance has been canceled. The dance will be rescheduled after Winter break.
Henkle staff brainstormed something about each student that makes Henkle brighter to share in the hallway this holiday season. Students have enjoyed reading what strengths staff recognize in them and others!

Henkle ASB sponsored a canned food drive November 14-18 and Henkle students and families came through with donations of items! Between the two grades, students donated over 1000 items, most of which were high need items for WAGAP. Great work, Grizzlies!
