7th Grade Science

7th Grade Science Students have been engineering flameless heaters using their knowledge of chemical reactions that create heat (exothermic reactions) and refining their designs to meet the agreed upon criteria and constraints. Engineering teams have spent a lot of time planning and testing and their work paid off because almost all engineering teams successfully heated their food to the correct temperature when given the opportunity to rebuild! A big thanks to the White Salmon Valley Education Foundation for providing funding for the bluetooth thermometers that students have been using to collect data on their designs.
