
Spring has sprung and Mrs. Dent's Life Skills class has been busy making the garden beautiful!




CHS sent the track and soccer teams off with some fanfare today on their way to the state meet and tournament. Good luck to all of our athletes who will be competing over the next several days!




Tonight at the state track and field meet, Lilah Zimmerman ran a season best time in the mile of 5:36, placing her 16th in the state! Way to go!


Guess who just set a new school record in the 300 M Hurdles at the state track and field meet today? Saylor Hauge broker her own record set earlier in the year, turning in a time of 46.34 and qualifying her to run in the finals on Saturday!


Columbia has some new individual district champions in track and field! Gavin Clifford won the 100 M Ambulatory, Saylor Hauge won the 300 M hurdles, Samantha Evans won the high jump, and the relay team of Sequoia Cohen, Willow Cohen, Sara Miller, and Saylor Hauge won the 4 x 100 relay. In all, CHS qualified 9 athletes to the state meet to be held this weekend in Yakima. Way to go, Track & Field!





Congratulations to the soccer team for their 3-0 state quarter final win against King's High School. Next up is the semi final game on Friday at 1:00pm at Federal Way Memorial Field. Let's go, Bruins!

Samantha Evans broke the school high jump record on Friday at Washougal with a jump of 5'4 1/2". The record was last set in 2014. Way to go Samantha!

Congratulations to Maru Quintana, who has been selected as a finalist for the ESD 112 Classified School Employee of the Year. Maru works as a bilingual paraprofessional at Columbia High School providing in-classs support to students as well as serving as a vital link for families. Maru is pictured here with Sofia Vicente who wrote a letter of recommendation for her.


CHS has another state champion! Garrett Kock won the Spreadsheet Event at the Future Business Leaders of America State Competition held in Bellevue this weekend. Way to go, Garrett!

Yesterday was a great day for Bruin Track and Field. Saylor broke a 45 year old record in the 300m hurdles today by running a time of 46.90 and Samantha tied the high jump record with a jump of 5' 4".



Whitson student's cheer for state send off! Good luck to Future Business Leaders of America who are headed to State Competition in Bellevue. Overall, 45 students qualified in 48 different events.
