Henkle's first dance was this past Friday and it's safe to say it was a success! Moses Henning CHS '23 DJed for the students and ASB and Leadership students outdid themselves on decorations. The concession stand was stocked with snacks and candy and Beneventi's even brought warm pizza for students to purchase! Thanks to all who made this dance possible!
In just a few weeks White Salmon voters will receive ballots for the February 14 election. Two levies for White Salmon Valley Schools will be on the ballot: A replacement Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy and a Capital Levy.
The capital levy would support important maintenance for school buildings and 1:1 technology for students. Each student in our district is issued a Chromebook for their use during school and for homework. 1:1 technology enables teachers to use Chromebooks for lessons and activities that are more adaptive and give quicker feedback. These students are using their Chromebook to collect temperature changes of a chemical reaction over time. Throughout their school years students are taught safe use of Chromebooks and the internet, as well as presentation and word processing skills they need to be employable after high school.
